Day01 Arrive Kolkatta

On arrival at Kolkata International Airport you will be welcomed by J&D specialized representative. Talk about details and minutes of your stay in India. Transferred to your booked Hotel. Afternoon city tour of Kolkata

Kolkata City Information: Kolkata has long been known for its literary, artistic and revolutionary heritage. As the former capital of India, Kolkata was the birthplace of modern Indian literary and artistic thought. Several major buildings of the Colonial period are well maintained and have been declared "heritage structures", while others are in various stages of decay. Established in 1814, the Indian Museum is the oldest museum in Asia and houses vast collection of Indian natural history. The Victoria Memorial, one of the major tourist attractions in Kolkata.

Day05 Vivada Cruise - Kolkata - Chennai

The vessel again will cross over Namkhana as per the tide and will head back home, sailing past the several heritage ghats of Kolkata. The vessel will reach Kolkata in the forenoon depending on the tide.

After that transfer to airport for you r evening flight to Chennai. Arrive Chennai & Transfer to Hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day06 Chennai

Day07 Chennai - Mahabalipuram

Highlights of Tour: Classical dances, music, tribal dances and puppet shows are the highlights of Mahablipuram festival which goes on round the year.

After breakfast drive down to Mahabalipuram (about 60 km / 02 hrs), enjoy a half day sightseeing of this old port town, which is famous for its World Heritage Monuments - Shore Temple, Five Rathas & Arjuna's Penance. The beauty of the place is not only due to these architecture but the vast casuarinas trees, the silvery sandy beach the classical hand male crafts around have made them all to form what is a collective splendor. You will be startled and intoxicated with the grandeur. Afternoon at leisure on the beach.

Day08 Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

Highlights of Tour: The laid back city with beautiful colonial French Style builidings and churches will remind you of bygone era.

Breakfast at the Hotel. Leave for Pondicherry by surface (110 Kms/ 2 Hrs approximately) on the eastern side of Indian peninsula. Arrive Pondicherry & transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon, half day sightseeing tour visiting the Aurobindo ashram etc.

Pondicherry City Information
Pondicherry is a seaside resort. But at the same time it differs very much from a typical beach resort. Tourist attractions in Pondicherry lie in its ambience. Old French style buildings, churches and museums, tree-lined boulevards along the seashore would remind you of a bygone era. The Laidback Township, pristine beach and the palm trees swaying in breeze bring a slice of serenity. The only sound you can hear is the waves crashing against the rocks and the chirping of the birds. But to cap it all, the Auroville Ashram is the biggest of all tourist attractions in Pondicherry.

Day09 Pondicherry - Darasuram - Tanjore

Highlight of the Tour - This temple is a storehouse of art and architecture. The front mandapam itself is in the form of a huge chariot drawn by horses. The temple has some exquisite stone carvings. The main deity's consort Periya Nayaki Amman temple is situated adjacent to Airavateshwarar temple.

Day10 Tanjore

Highlight of the tour: Visit the temple complex of Tanjore

Tanjore City Information: This is visited by most of the foreigners who come to India to learn about its culture. Raja Chola during his rule built the Tanjore Brihadeeswarar temple.
Otherwise called 'Big Temple' (Periya Koil) the temple was built by the King on a sprawling piece of land. The greatness of this temple is marked by the enormous Lingam - the 'Brihadeeswarar' which is the prime deity of the shrine.

Breakfast at the Hotel & proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Tanjore city.

Day11 Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai

After breakfast from Tanjore drive to Madurai via Trichy.

Highlight of the Tour –Trichy situated on the banks of the river Cauvery lies in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The most popular tourist destinations in Trichy are Rock Fort temple, Gangaikondan Cholapuram, Sri Ranganathaswami temple and Avur.

After visiting the temples drive to Trichy - Tiruchirappalli, situated on the banks of the river Cauvery is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu. Apart from the Fort, there are several Churches, Colleges and Missions dating back to the 1760s. The town and its fort, now in Trichy were built by the Nayaks of Madurai. This city has given great Tamil scholars whose contributions to the Tamil literature have been very significant (198 Kms/ 4 Hrs approximately).

After sightseeing drive to Madurai and transfer to the Hotel.

Day12 Madurai

Highlight of the Tour: Sightseeing of Meenakshi Temple

Breakfast at the Hotel. After breakfast start for a sightseeing tour of Madurai. One of South India's great temple towns, Madurai is synonymous with the celebrated Meenakshi Temple. Situated on the banks of river Vaigai, Madurai has a rich cultural heritage passed on from the great Tamil era more than 2500 years old. Madurai was an important cultural and commercial centre even as early as 550 AD. It was the capital city for the great Pandya kings. The Pandyan King Kulasekarar built a great temple and created a lotus shaped city around the temple. On the day the city was to be named, as Lord Shiva blessed the land and its people, divine nectar (Madhu) was showered on the city from his matted locks. This city was henceforth known as Madhurapuri. Madurai is famous for Jasmine Flowers.

Day13 Madurai - Periyar

Breakfast at the Hotel. Leave for Periyar by surface (142 Kms/ 3 Hrs approximately) Arrive Periyar & transfer to Hotel. Afternoon spice plantation tour, this tour is to introduce you to the numerous varieties of spices that this country is famous for. The guide will give you a good explanation of the native spices, tea and coffee. If you are interested a visit to the local tea factory can be organized.

Day14 Periyar

Early morning take boat ride in Periyar Lake in the morning to watch the animals including herds of elephants, bison's and Packs of wild boars that roam through the woods and Parade along the shores of the lake just before sunrise.

Day15 Periyar - Kumarakom

Highlight of the tour: Day at leisure overlooking the backwater from the hotel.

Arrive back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast leave for Kumarakom by surface (155 Kms/ 3 Hrs approximately. Arrive Kumarakom & transfer to the jetty to board the houseboat. Arrive Kumarakom & board the Houseboat. Overnight at the Hotel

Day16 Kumarakom - Allepey ( Overnight in the Houseboat )

Day17 Kumarakom - Kochi

Breakfast at the Houseboat. Disembark the houseboat at the resort in Kumarakom. Leave for Cochin by surface (65 Kms/ 1 ½ Hrs approximately) Arrive Cochin & transfer to the Hotel. Evening, enjoy Kathakali dance performance.

Day18 Kochi

Highlight of the Tour: Chinese Fishing Net

Breakfast at the Hotel & proceed for a half day. Sightseeing tour of Cochin visiting the Mattancherry Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the St. Francis Church & the Chinese fishing nets.

Day19 Kochi - Frankfurt
